I'll stand up for the downtrodden up vote the mids. The first plant I ever grew was a mid at the time I thought it was the shiizbah!
Wasn't till after it was all smoked
found out it was a male.

I never grew it, but Big Bud was a strain that would be considered mids? Great yield, quick flowering, average taste and strength.

Mids used to serve the purpose of allowing beginners to get their feet wet without extra cost of quality seeds.

First crop I grew properly came from seeds from some mids I'd bought. With the proper drying & curing the end result was better than the bag they came from.

You know, I haven't bought weed since . . . I can't remember. I'm either smoking my own or a friend's, and we don't really have a word for shit weed coz we almost never see it. Occasionally you'll get some outdoor grown weed which we call "bushy" ("bush bud", as in grown in the bush), but even that's usually pretty good. We don't get brick weed or any of that other shit here.

I buy weed all the time because I enjoy smoking my competition.

But most importantly because I can afford it.

I don't have to buy weed because I get given a lot. I generally only take it from people I know as I don't necessarily trust other growers not to use pesticides and such.

I would have to agree with this. Now that I think of it, I have a clone of some old genetics gifted to me by AinSof (remember her?) which was a cross of her DJ Short Blue Heaven x SAGE. I kept the Blue Heaven pheno and I smoke it almost every day. It has a really nice high, but is not what you would call strong by any means. In fact, I had it tested once and it came up as 11% THC. But it definitely hits the sweet spot. Perhaps that's what your guys call "mids"? I just really like the effect – anti-anxiety weed is what I call it.
