Well, I did get rid of the spider mites, started from fresh seeds, well maybe not so fresh, the 4 of 20 that germed, did not have a good start. I think I put too much epsom salts in the initial batch, and the PH went too high.
I did manage to repair the problem, and just about the time, that I got them up and growing again, I was invaded by root aphids. Now these little bastard are worse than spider mites in my opinion, because they aren't near as detectable, and just as difficult to eliminate. SOOOOO, I figured WTF and tore everything down again and recleaned, and am going to redesign my setup a bit.
My Apt bldg is surrounded by thick growth and I have noticed quite a variety of pests lurking on the foliage. My 16/1 mesh screens must look like two car garages to these guys, so I am no longer going to open my windows, and see if that helps.
This side of the river seems to be where all the bugs be., Didn't have these issues on beach side.

I also picked up some Bayer Natria to do periodic treatments.
Frustration is setting in and I think I could most likely pass a urinalysis.

I just received 5 femmed BlackJacks from gypsy 2 of which are now Germinating.And I have one Ogre Ogre which has sprouted and seems to be healthy.
Hopefully I will have some buds by May.

damn short sad story
i had the root aphids to. they are a bitch i used banned chem's
there gone. so i hope you the best this next round.

those always seem to come with the soil.
it is a continuous battle, but easily won.
never had to abort a grow due to them.
i usually use yellow sticky whitefly traps for control.
mosquito dunks also come highly recommended.
& i just got a new product sample from a friend, called Go-Nats.
but prior to use for germination,
soil must be sterilized by baking @180F for 20 min.
