Bastards are back again!
I'm not sure if it's a re-infection from outside or a re-colonisation by mites that survived my neem oil blitz a few weeks ago. I suspect the latter.
Either way. I want the little fuckers gone.
I only have the one mother plant growing at the moment, so hopefully I can get rid of the little cunts, IF I can find an effective killer.
I'm torn between ordering some Avid/Floramite from the States, or trying a miticide I can obtain in the UK (don't seem to be any that are easy to get).
Best bet so far looks like Fipronil, which just happens to be the active ingredient in the cat's flea treatment. I'm sure she won't miss one dose.
Question is, will it work?
Reading the specs seems to suggest it might, but if anyone has any practical experience with it, I'd love to hear about it.

Never tried fipronil. The only thing that has ever worked for me with spider mites is a set of bug bombs spaced a week apart. Kill all the living then kill the newly hatched before they lay more eggs. Nothing else seems to get them all.

Yah... tried permethrin based ones (which seem to be all we can get in the UK) ... kept the numbers low, but even after 3 bombings some still survived.
Since it's only a mother I'm treating, I'm prepared to go systemic this time... I'm guessing so little will be carried over into the cuttings, that once they've grown out, any residue will be negligible.
I'm looking at other veterinary miticides at the moment.... anyone keep hens?

Yeah, after much research, I think I'm going to have to go for the Forbid 4F.

i'm sure you won't be disappointed.
i'm just glad i got some before they cut off California.
they did that because commercial usage was killing the bees...
so i can see restricting the large bottles,
but they should realize that a little 5ml vial isn't for commercial use.
good thing it's so effective & only takes about 4 drops per quart,
so even just the half of that i have left will last me for years to come.
