Oh btw also. The postal "guy" didn't put my delivery in my mail box. Took it to Service Station and I had to go down and pick it up.

Note on my notice was..."non secure place"??? wtf is the mailbox for?

Nonsecure what?

This is the same asshole that can't shut my mailbox after delivery and when it rains .. yes... my mail gets soaked.

What happens with glue on free return envelopes anyone? beaver? beaver? beaver?

dimmable ballast?

Post by MadMoonMan »

The IPOWER digital electronic ballast I bought crapped out after 1 grow. Fan doesn't even run lol.

After all these years you'd think they would finally have these things running right. Now I have to buy another light or 2.

Hopefully the 2 bulbs that came worth will last awhile.

dimmable ballast?

Post by Lrus007 »

have a mag ballest from 1977 if i plug it in is noisy but works fine.
so get a mag ballast they do last longer.

now a few crazy fact's. for mag ballast...
buy a HPS ballast. you can use a MH bulb in it.
a 1000 watt ballast is rated up to 1000 watt's.
that means you can use different bulbs.
you can use MH or HPS bulbs with a HPS ballast.
here is the kicker. in a 1000 watt ballast you can use
any bulb.. 400 watt 600 watt or 1000 watt.
so no need for a dimming ballast. use different bulbs.
good luck

sorry mate, thats not gonna work

if you screw a 400 watt bulb into a 1000 watt mag ballast, you will get an explosion, same with 600W, tho you should have luck with a 750W bulb, this could be run on 1000W ballast

as a rule of thumb, never drive your bulbs with more than plus 20% power

if you ment a digital switchable ballast, im sorry .. as its not that clear to me from what i have read
awoken the right way

dimmable ballast?

I'm going back to the ole Magnetic ballasts for now. Those I have have been dependable for years of testing now.

Should I post Product names without out getting paid lots of money?

Yes lol....

Ipower bad (read a lot of other reviews about those ballasts... seems to be a burnout? problem)

Ok so I did get 1 600w HPS bulb and 1 MH 600w bulb so thats something. Right? Depending on if they last? I've been reading about the cheap 1000 hr bulbs out there or pre-used bulbs?

Hey another good part I got 1 grow out of it. Maybe lit 3 or 4 plants.

So if you look at it as a disposible lighter possiblity?

It could be worth it.

Nah......

If you get a magnetic ballast you can repair and or rebuild them easily.

And if you think they are to noisy at night running in the closet next to your bed. Get over it. You need to move out of your Moms house.
