dimmable ballast?

well a friend uses 600 watt bulbs in grow.
then he changes to 1000 watt bulbs for bloom.
seems to work for him. but i myself have never tried it.

I'm going back to the ole Magnetic ballasts for now. Those I have have been dependable for years of testing now.

Should I post Product names without out getting paid lots of money?

Ipower bad (read a lot of other reviews about those ballasts... seems to be a burnout? problem)

Ok so I did get 1 600w HPS bulb and 1 MH 600w bulb so thats something. Right? Depending on if they last? I've been reading about the cheap 1000 hr bulbs out there or pre-used bulbs?

Hey another good part I got 1 grow out of it. Maybe lit 3 or 4 plants.

So if you look at it as a disposible lighter possiblity?

If you get a magnetic ballast you can repair and or rebuild them easily.

mh bulbs have a lower shell life compared to hps bulbs ... hps you can go for a year (with quality) mh about half a year , regarding lumen output , so its a major fuck off, that mh bulbs are more expansive and last less ... no lol

regarding mh bulbs, solistek has an awesome line up , se and de , in 4000 K, 6000 K and 10000 K afaik all for 400 volt optimized
my favorite hps is the philips greenpower

one day im gonna blast 10000K and 2000K into one tent , yeah baby !

I got an MPS and a MH bulb with the ballast. I was using the HPS but haven't tested it in another ballast to see if it still works.

Pulled the fuse out and changed it to the spare but still no luck. Ordered another Harvest Pro 600w. Been using these for years.

Anyone know if I the IPower ballast is redeemable?
