Just because I can't spell misanthrope doesn't mean I'm completely stupid.

T12s were also cool cause the plants could grow right into the tubes without burning. Break that Inverse square law. Reminds me, I think it was benttech who envision little tiaras of LEDs laying each bud.
BenTTech has been around a long time and done a lot of what I've done before me.

In fact most of us.

Do you dig into the compost pile of ancient history where nothing dies ...

Feed to survive.

We left one guy in there. I forget his name. He had one chance to get out on February 29th 1 time before the next 70 years due to special date it fell on. I told everyone before hand but I guess he didn't see it. Asked to get out after.. the amnesty passed.

70 mores years. man..

Well, can't say enough how I totally feel you man. But it's true that everything can't be absolute and they always 'depend on' something.

However, lucky us that the things with grow lights aren't really like that. It's true that it depends, but basically you can still trust a simple formula to calculate wattage. And yes, please feel free to stick to watts/sq foot. No matter how well you prepare, you'll still have to wait and make adjustments along the way anyway, so better stick with something simple that allows us to easily change afterwards.

If you're using a LED Grow Light, here is how to calculate your wattage: https://lovebackyard.com/led-grow-lights/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

as i remember it,
benTTech envisioned led's shrunk to the size of wireless microdots which floating on static electricity would automatically arrange themselves above every portion of the plant which could use the light. when turned off they would flow back to a central repository.

you wouldnt be taking pictures of lit plants as easily as today but i dont think that would stop adoption of them
the intolerance of the old order is emerging from the rosy mist in which it has hitherto been obscured.
