What seems to have passed nearly unnoticed was that recent remark from Gen. Casey late of Iraqi Fiasco Fame. They apparently remain "dangerous places". "Decade" is no doubt code word for permanent occupation. Didn't hear any denunciation from Team Obama. hmmm. A Who song comes to mind here, you know the one.

i would say something witty about that, occupying the 3rd proved world oil reserves and all, maybe they'll appreciate it so much they'll arrange to have me sent on a free vacation to sunny Gitzmo.
