its amazing how mainstream media refuses to cover the machine voting problems nor the huge disparity in election resources that run party lines in a ton of states...

More than 95 million Americans have voted so far in 2020, an enormous, record-breaking figure heading into Election Day.
If I remember correctly there are 220 million adults in the US.
I dare say that's half US's eligible voting population.

Before the polls open on November 3rd. Damn!

I was initially intrigued by Australia's mandatory voting. But now, Ironically voluntary voting is better, methinks.

3 States have already past their voting turnout from 2016. BEFORE the polls open.

Speaking of voter suppression laws, Georgia Gov. Kemp and Karma

Seems Kemp just got exposed to someone with the coronavirus, so he has to self-quarantine, meaning that he can’t physical go to the polls on Tuesday. But it’s too late for him to get an absentee ballot and return it in time to be counted

The first Connecticut voters to head to the polls as they opened Tuesday morning reported significant lines, some as long as an hour, for a high-stakes presidential election that could set turnout records despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Election Day Tradition: First “I Voted” sticker on #ElectionDay placed on Susan B. Anthony grave in Rochester at 6:47am at Mount Hope Cemetery. Other stickers on headstone here are from early voting. 2020 marks 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — As early voting kicked off this weekend in Monroe County, so too did a local election tradition.

The grave stone of suffragist Susan B. Anthony, located at Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, is already covered in “I voted” stickers, but they aren’t exactly on the monument itself.

New this year is a plastic shield covering the grave stone, to protect the maker from damage caused by hundreds of stickers put on it during election season.

We're all mail-in voting now here in WA State. At first I missed the ritual, BSing with neighbors aspect of in-person voting, and getting my little "I Voted" sticker, but I've become a convert. Hand marked paper ballots are the only way to make the process truly auditable and make significant fraud extremely difficult.

Waiting in a long line to vote? Here's how you can get some free pizza
https://www.wxyz.com/news/election-2020 ... free-pizza" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The nonprofit takes reports of long lines and finds local pizza places that will deliver the piping hot 'za.

Pizzas are sent anywhere there's a line and delivery people with the nonprofit gives them to anyone there, including people waiting in lines, their kids and poll volunteers and staff.

Oh yes Haysus i agree, handmark is the way to go. In California we all got sent our ballot in the mail too this year. First time I didn't stand in line to vote. Going to miss that for the much the same reasons, I used to love to flirt with the girls.
With BallotTrax I can see when my ballot was received and my vote counted. Cool. here's the email message I received.
Your ballot for the 2020 General Election was received and will be counted. Thank you for voting!

you know whats ironic is that the THROUGHLY modern system venesuala uses they actually can know the winners the next days, all with an entirely transparent system and hand marked ballots that can be easily recounted...

its been interesting being as detached and blasé about this elections has has occured

when you concider how ripe the voting and counting systems are to electronic manipulation nearly anything might happen...

I Guess the best-case scenario with electronic
devices is they simply just fail, rather then giving bogus results

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/1 ... ign=recent" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
.. a few places where voting systems went down entirely, preventing voters from voting in those states

In almost every case it was related to the failure of electronic pollbooks made by a company named KNOWiNK, which produce the devices called "Poll Pads".  Those systems seem to be behind the countywide shutdown of voting for the first several hours of Election Day in Spalding County, GA and in Morgan County, GA. Despite months of warnings from voting systems experts -- and a federal court order -- and the systems failing during the state's June primaries --

Similarly, when the Poll Pads failed in Ohio's Franklin County (Columbus), officials had backup paper pollbooks on hand, as ordered by Ohio Sec. of State Frank LaRose.
