pakistani landrace genetics

Post by deran »

get some strain that is native to such a climate, my first choice would be some real kush, and by that i dont mean all those "new world cali og s" , something from afghanistan, as the kush mountains are dry, hot and high elevated, many farmers growing at this elevation, another landrace would be northern paki strains. same climate, or some exotics from further up north, like tadjikistan and /or its neighbouring countries

you dont want strains that are from the tropics , with lots of rain, because elevation doesnt matter then, like colubian, yes they grow at 3000 meters, but they are used to get daily rain and so on

regarding this, a tiny sprouting info, those "dry strains" will sprout fast within hours .. just like desert roses, as while those tropical ones will need up to a week or two beeing wet, untill they sprout - granted that both are the same age ... bc older seeds take longer to sprout

I know the breeder of this company, this is a strain you may consider if you are looking for Pakistani landrace genetics:

He has other strains that are normally grown at higher elevations also. Cannabiogen and Ace seeds are the same company so you may want to check them out if you are looking.

thanks oj!

im going for a container grow outside and due to deer it will have to be fenced AND because our yearly rain is mostly thunderstorms some of which are ridiculously intense its going to need a fence and a roof high enough up to stay out of the sun

shooting for 3 or more plants each with at least a cubic yard of soil

will check their stuff out...

hi bud,

dont get me wrong in this sentence, as i was more viewing my side of things, ive found that africa is a sure bet, but im sure you can find thcv strains everywhere tropically where typical big sativas will grow, also in thailand, around the carribean sea, panama, columbia etc ... if not "polluted" with todays hybrids, as i think of jamaica where you cant find any oldschool sativas anymore, why have 1 or 2 harvests a year, when you can have 3 or 4 ...

thin leaf, huge internodes, anything from 14 weeks on ....

actually its not just a capitalists wishful thinking, bc of the long flowering periods, look it at another angle ... like ... many growers are successfzll bc its nearly impossible to kill a short 8 week plant which is grown in soil, ive seen pretty many growers trying to keep a 20 weeker alive indoors, and thats the point, you gotta know what you do, but many think its like sex, 3 minutes of fun and thats it .. no wonder that the porn industrie is so widespread ... lol .... but we know it better, sex-wise and sativa-wise, dont we ? :D

As the genetic content isn't patentable IP, your best hope of monetising a unique landrace or farmer's cultivar is to find out if it breeds relatively true in an open-pollination scenario, and if it does to create as much seed as possible. If it has interesting chemotype and breeds true, there could be a lot of interest from grey market breeders looking for parent stock to use for making F1s with true heterotic vigour AND from completely above-board medical breeders looking for either parent stock or unique chemotype expressions combined with a stable phenotype. True breeding cannabis lines that also have sought-after chemotypes are rare-- far rarer than most probably believe.

no, dozens of proper bred "eu-certified (less than 0,2%thc)" hemp strains are available, some even with really high cbd profiles, that , are also available on the us side, of course with another fancy name ... lol .... bc "fedora just" wont sell
