I will forever hate Atari. I played a lot of them good bad and bad.

centipede space invaders etc

Indiana Jones the first one.

climbing over the pit and going up the corridor.

You got the whip first then surviving that you went up and out into a corridor to fight your way down. If you didn't get the whip you don't get far. Besides you needed the whip to swing over the cliff into a cave.

I am sorry to report it did not.
Thank you for clarifying that it is a carbon based hardware problem, not crippleware.
I do enjoy working with humans and such stimulating lessons.
