I do my mums in coco, but I prefer NFT for the main grow, mainly because there's so little to get rid of afterwards.. just stems and a mat of roots.
I have done some main grows in coco, and it would definitely be my substrate of choice if I were inclined to change my methods.
The excitement's in aero - now THAT'S a challenge.

Have you got a garden? You know you can reuse coco a number of times before disposing of it (it actually ages better with time). All my coco gets recycled as top-dressing, mulch or soil mix - roots and all. It's good stuff.

NFT is quicker, but. You should get better yields with it. Like my cars, I don't mind sacrificing a bit of speed for reliability.

Prawn had that pic of the most amazing plant I ever saw that was solid bud from soil line to top.

I've seen thousands of pics of plants online. Still never seen anything as good as that. You could almost catch a buzz from just looking at it.
If Muley can scruff along i can too.

Was it this one? That was a Sensi Star. Leafy bugger to trim, but always yielded well. Shame I lost that cut . . . I need to do another Sensi Star seed run to find another one like that.

2 gallons. I've pulled a 15oz plant out of one of those pots. That actually surprised me!

LOL! You don't grow many plants, do you? I use the same pots in all my grows - everyone who's seen them knows that.

But thanks for the kudos.

Jesus! I've just realised you've written a coherent sentence! Two of them!

No, unfortunately, we have a weeny courtyard garden and no compost heap. :(

Well, NFT is pretty reliable if you're not a forgetful pillock. ;)
I'm really an idle bastard, and don't bother with half the things I could do to increase my yield. Mostly I just bung them in, top up the reservoir and try not to do anything silly..... doesn't always work. :arse:

I see Paradise are out of Sensi Star at the moment (and most "regular" seeds.. they seem to be down to just feminised seeds of most strains).
I'm thinking it's about time I bought some more seeds.. I may go for Delahaze or possibly the "Sativa Champions" mix. :howyoudoin:

That Sensi Star pictured above came from a pack of femmed seeds. It was from a run of five plants - half a 10-pack - so I'm hopeful of finding another one. I still have another 10-pack lying around. I also have a clone from that initial 5-run that is a real Afghan pheno - short, squat, leafy, leafy buds, but a great high. Probably the poorest yielder in my collection, but I keep her for the smoke.
