Aeroponics/continous....EC/PPM levels
How far can you push the ec/ppm level in a aquamist systems. Continuous, not deep water, or ebb & flow, but continuous systems that constantlly spray your rockwool. Most nutrient companies do not include this measurement.

How would you know that? You claim not to use meters...
Hempy - Idiot proof hydro
Hempy Style
Hempy buckets are by far the easiest, cheapest and most cost effective way to grow hydroponically. In my 7 years of growing I’ve done aeroponics, dwc, bio-buckets and Hempy and there is no comparing the simplicity.
• No pH testing needed
• No ppm meters
• No stress about root rot

bluebud,
I know I've had my ppm's up to around 1200-1300 range in mid-flower.

I don't use meters in Hempy Whabby. I did however grow in aero for 5 years. Now I since you decided to answer his question, let me ask you, when is the last time you grew in aero that makes you think you can answer his question? But but but......
What's that? You've never grown in aero?

I actually meant to put "WaterFarms" in that sentence.
It should have read...
"bluebud,
I know I've had my ppm's up to around 1200-1300 range in mid-flower in 'WaterFarms.' "
And I know how I fudge it, too. When I first started typing it I was going to say "my WaterFarms" but that would not have been the truth. They weren't "my" WaterFarms. I grew in them, but they weren't mine.
I made a mistake.
And, in a general sense....hydro is hydro. You're delivering a nutrient to the plant/roots using fluids in a controlled manner and certain parameters must be met/exist.
Also, I've read more hydro threads than probably most individuals on the boards. I've done a lot of reading....almost exclusively hydro. I spent at least a full couple of months (I want to say 4 months) reading at OG before I ever posted a word....and dozens of threads on a few different boards since.

I don't see why the EC should be any different to any other hydro system.
Whatever you use, you're just delivering the solution directly to the roots.
So, depending on the plants, I'd suggest between around 1.5 and 2.2 will give the best results.

I think the difference is that in Aero it's just a great environment for the roots and they can eat more efficiently. So even though they can handle the higher EC values, they are actually happy at lower ones and perform as well. In comparrison in hempy I can see the benefit in yield from the hight ECs.A Bloke Down The Pub wrote:I don't see why the EC should be any different to any other hydro system.

Maybe, but then again, it's mostly extra oxygen at the roots that makes aero desirable, so perhaps because they're taking in more oxygen, they also benefit from having more available nutrients & can therefore tolerate a higher EC?JapanFreak wrote:I think the difference is that in Aero it's just a great environment for the roots and they can eat more efficiently. I don't know enough about the process of molecular exchange at the roots to make a very informed guess.

Yeah, for a simpleton the simple answer is never...
For the rest of us the complete accurate answer is in my previous response...
