Never really been afraid of any drug but im kind of afraid of opium or smack.

I heard plenty of stories about how it's so good and i'm worried about my own weakness when it comes to something that good. Would i have the guts to resist something that good once i tried it .

Of course the way drugs are surrounded by hysteria and exaggeration it could be that its just more BS.

I had plenty of codeine pain pills when i had tooth problems and they are derived from opium. They were nice but they werent as nice as the stories ive heard about opium so who knows.

The thing that you really wonder about is more the mental effects than the physical. I've heard people explain that every anxiety that you have just disappears and you feel almost perfectly secure and serene.
If Muley can scruff along i can too.

it does kill all pain in body and mind.
also very good sleep. yes some people
that have tried it can not stop.
one of the problems is it kills all pain.
so next day you feel all the pains that your
brain is ignoring. so you need to get used to
the pains again. that is most peoples downfall.

Yeah thats how Burroughs described it. He said you don't realize that your brain is actually cancelling out a lot of pain in your normal walkin around frame of mind. Then when you start doing opium the drug takes over the job of killin the pain and the brain stops doin it.

If you run out of the drug you suddenly are faced with with all that pain and a brain that doesn't cancel it anymore till it relearns how to do it again. Pretty scary shit.

I don't trust myself enough to be around it.

well my new plot has not done well last 2 years.
funny that this thread popped up. just this week
i have tilled in peat moss, lime and compost from
under rabbit cage. tilled it all in well. just yesterday
i got done seeding plot with winter rye to till in later
and also kill off the weeds. after rye is 4-6" tall i will
till it in and replant more rye. then till it in this spring
then plant poppys and see if they like plot better.
