heh!!!

i tell you,
when the season right,
you cant even scale the hills around here

the flowers are so robust.

for background,
im in some type of riparian something or other

not exactly desert; but a fair bit of its influence

i can hike the hill around me for months on end, and then suddenly
its rains alot
and the fauna goes crazy

during this crazy fauna life cycle

i can move among them IF i stick to the age old trails...
the natural ones the indians knew and kept trodden

but to the left and right,

the natural fields go crazy

thick and juicy and impossible to hike without soaking your feet with plant juice
and your schedule with delays

the smart guy

just looks

and smiles

and smells their flowers


and stays on the old ride trail

Fauna? didja mean then flora? altho with the flora the wildlife explodes too. but the wildlife keeping you on the old paths is a bit differant image

i meant the plants...

mostly around here, im the biggest baddest animal crusing around so i dont come across many other mammals

after a fire i had a baby kit fox follow me around a few times i hiked his old habitat...
and then there was that dumb coyote i walked up behind a dozen times
heh, scardy cat!
lived in a canyon i hiked one ridge of often

then that one night i caught something following me and i then followed if for a few hundred yards...

never got a good glimpse, but could tell by its sounds it musta weighted as much as me...
