So you are simply using the dried inner husk of the coconut shell (that surrounds the white fleshy angiosperm and central water pocket) but I don;t get what the little rocks are -- are they porous what size atre they -- are they just on top or all the way through? what fertilizers are you or aren;t you using? ? Our biggest problems here are that everything needs to be watered but things are getting soggy -- we need a good workable and extendable irrigation program -- yeah I know ironic eh?

Exactly Mama! The dry ground inner shell of the coconut,,, The rocks are mixed through-out, small simple non porous river rocks with about 3 inches of rock on top (the rock layer on top helps keep the moisture in) for nutes 10ml of Cana A and 10ml per Cana B per us Gallon & the rose only gets fed once every two weeks...
if the container was smaller (say two gallon) and indoors and no rock layer on top I could feed once every day , every day,,,
I have yet to add any bloom boost,,, wanted to see what it would do with straight Cana A&B...
I just may start adding a lil Atami and she how she likes that

Okay --
I have a pet project I am working on with a friend here in Ecuador who works with the solid waste problem --
We have an enormous amount of plastic bottles filling our dumps and lining the streets everywhere -- we can use them as grow containers
Drinking coconut water is huge -- right from the coconut -- so we have tons of empty coconut husk also filling dumps or dumped period
Rock we got
And we have plants that simply needed a place to grow!
Now an important question -- would "worm tea" work as well as some other vertilizer? Cause we cam vermicullture here and make as much worm tea as needed ...
And we have great growing conditions -- we're on the equator :D
