did you try unplugging the ballast for 15-30 minutes? if you had a momentary outage( a second to a couple minutes) you may just need to let it sit unplugged for a bit. some ballasts/bulbs need that time to reset. otherwise you just get a glowing bulb. damn beat me by a second or 3.

When I unscrewed the bulb it crackled and got bright again.. I don't know if the filament is loose maybe because it kinda rattled inside when I shook it... I will make Pants look at it when he gets home... I'm hoping to pick up a new bulb this weekend or at the latest next weekend.. I had no power outage that I could tell... none of the clocks were blinking..

doing great Merry. those short outages don't usually affect appliance clocks unless they're longer than a couple minutes.
mostly i've been lurking. posting only rarely. good to see so many old friends and acquaintances here. if my memory were better i'd probably miss more of the lost ones like twisted joints.
