This strain i am growing now seems to be using more water than any other i have grown in the past.
I would tell you what strain it is except for the fact that somebody from PG sent me the seeds and revealing the strain might reveal the sender. Don't want to take a chance.
Anybody ever have an experience like that where their plants used more water than other plants ?
I'm not having a problem with them but i just thought it was worth mentioning.

Actually i am growing in soil-less.
I use Dr. Atomic's recipe from the PG tutorials.
80% peat. 20% vermiculite. Some dolomite.
It really works great. It's basically a promix copycat formula but its much less expensive and a lot easier to find.
BTW - you are right i am growing a big leafy indica.

the more leaf surface area the plant has, the more rapidly it will transpire. of course this doesnt mean they want a higher nutrient concentration, neccessarily.

Conversely, sativas don't shade the pots very well and tend to dry out quicker than leafy indicas that shade the topsoil. But then that's two different issues: evaporation versus plant uptake. I agree with the posts above.
