photo's dont load if your browsing as guest?

was trying to show someone a thread about waterhash
didnt want to log in from her computer
wanted to remain anonymous

but no pic's

is there some reason for this?

well because, say a shady seed salesman comes here.
he grabs a few photo's of some ones plant and say's
my seeds grow this. if you have to become a member
things like that happen less often. also why become
a member if you can see everything.

i read overgrow top to bottom before i registered
i registered because i had some questions

within weeks
i was mod of the growrooms forum
and the "photo's" forum

and that amounted to deleting everything an aussie seed vendor was posting around the clock

years later i wondered who was more out of line
him or TOG
concerning the rule they had me enforcing

Sorry, we had to do that to keep all the bots and "pic-spiders" under control.
They still sneak in occasionally, and I have to see them in real-time, in order to whack them...
but they ain't gettin shit anyway.

Just a thought, but you could make an extra "anonymous" account for that purpose...

I just timed how long it took me to make this account...
including changing the name, because the first one I tried was already in use...
it took only 90 seconds from clicking register to being logged in.

I wonder what would happen if we had a "shared" account like this for the purpose?
Let's say if the password was something like "password"

but considering where we are... I guess the question should be...
how long until some troll came along and changed the password on us?

and of course anything that was posted by it could be edited by anyone else.
it probably wouldn't work out... but maybe an experiment is worth a try.

but yeh, it only takes a minute or so to make a throw-away account.

Bentech, if you want an anonymous account for your use, that is fine. If smokebreaks wants guests to be able to post anonymously, it is his decision to make.
