...making things so bad that the Fed has to counteract the effect by steady increases to their rate from 0.08% to 5.33% over a 19 month period, and has left it at that level for the last 8 months, with no sign that they are going to reduce it any time soon.
Fed fund rate was aboot the same level for the 13 months preceding the 2008/2009 crash.
