my system doesnt use sewn bags
it uses a couple of precisely cut buckets
to trap the screens
one at a time for each stage

its begins by first mixing in a 5 gallon

i cut the bottom out of a second 5 gallon
which slides into the first bucket
with a 5 gallon paint strainer bag in between
this prevents the filter bag from getting twisted up
by the mixers action

btw, this is done easiest by pulling the bag over the outside
of the bottomless bucket

btw,
one of my testors started a long thread on icmag.com almost 10 years ago
i tried to find it recently but couldnt. sure would like to if its still there
his name was "smiley" and "ben ttech" was a contributor

after mixing
i like to let all the ice finish melting
before i pull this bag

i figure it lets the last of the tric's
which i figure get frozen up in the ice
fall out

ive made this work in several sizes
5 gallon is idea for this size a batch
and its the only size id still the assembly parts around for so...

i picked out my screen from the pile
and put the business together
its pretty self explainatory

could have cut out the big hole in the 5 gallon lid a little bigger
i suspect if i rotated that part a spot or two
it would line up better

was cold here today
and i ran out of time
so i will finish the process tomorrow

figured id show you how the assembly is made
it takes two buckets
screen trap diagram 0.jpg
which you cuf off like so

so that they will nest together
you want the top "ring" or "bottomless part
to slide 2 to 3 cm into the lower section which has all the holes

and yes,
i had to fudge that last drawing
heh

Anxious to see how much you end up with.

I save some of my trim cause when I run out I can get a buzz off of leaf after about 10 days of not smoking bud. You can only do this once a day however. Leaf is not strong enough to get you buzzed multiple times in one day.

^^^ that's basically it. I must thrown or given away a lot because I didn't know what to do with it. Most of it, like the males, ended up being mulch. If you can make good hash from it, that'd be pure frosting.
